Are you looking for office space? Make sure you consider the following before purchasing:
Don’t make the mistake of buying more space than you need. If you have a relatively small company, you want to make sure that your employees aren’t inconvenienced by having to walk all the way across the office for a break room or meeting room. Is your company going to experience a growth spurt soon? It might be best to do a short-term lease on a space that fits your current needs before upgrading to more space than you need.
If employee satisfaction is important to you, you might want to look for a location that has some of the following on-site:
- Day care
- Lounge area, or break room
If any of the above is important to you—or your employees—make sure your new office space will have these capabilities.
Is an open office space design important to you? Do you need offices for executive employees or managers? Do you need a lot of conference rooms or just a few? Keep these things in mind before you choose a space that won’t allow for these types of things. If a prospective office space has a design that won’t work well for you, keep looking.
